Admissions Engine (Suite version)

The Suite-integrated version of Admissions Engine — same six-step application funnel and reviewer workflow as the standalone, wired to LMS enrollment, Commerce fees, CRM pipelines, and Exams.

Same core, Suite benefits

The Admissions module shares its engine with the standalone Admissions Engine plugin. Identical:

  • Six-step application form
  • Pathways (configurable program-specific rules)
  • Review workflow with scoring rubrics
  • Decision notifications

See the standalone docs for feature-by-feature detail. This page covers Suite-only integrations.

LMS auto-enrollment

Configure a pathway: "On Admit, enroll in LMS course X." When a reviewer issues an Admit decision, the applicant is automatically enrolled in the specified course(s) — no manual step.

Enrollment can be conditional: only on payment of the deposit, or only after acceptance within N days.

Commerce integration for fees

Application fees go through Commerce rather than a direct Stripe call. Benefits:

  • Fees appear as regular orders in the Commerce dashboard
  • Discount codes work (e.g., "WAIVER50" for 50% off)
  • Fee waivers are first-class (mark an application "fee waived" from the reviewer side)
  • Enrollment deposits are handled the same way
  • Refunds go through Stripe Dashboard → Commerce picks up the webhook

CRM pipeline

Applicants become contacts in CRM the moment they start an application. They move through a pipeline:

  1. Started
  2. Submitted
  3. Under review
  4. Decision made (Admit / Waitlist / Reject / Defer)
  5. Accepted / Declined offer
  6. Enrolled

Stage transitions fire triggers — send reminder emails to incomplete applications, nudge waitlisted candidates, welcome new enrollees.

Exam integration

Pathways can include entrance exams via the Exams Suite module. Applicants complete the exam as a required step; reviewers see scores in the review dashboard.

Calendar integration

Key dates (application deadlines, decision release dates, deposit deadlines) become calendar events automatically. Applicants see them in their dashboard; their iCal subscription catches updates.

Cannot run alongside standalone

Shared database tables — install one, not both. SafeGuard enforces this.
