Wigmorean Admissions Engine

A six-step application pipeline for schools, bootcamps, and certification programs. Custom pathways per program, reviewer workflow, and Stripe-powered application fees.

The six-step application

  1. Personal details — name, contact, demographics
  2. Education history — transcripts, credentials, prior institutions
  3. Program selection — picks one of the pathways you've configured
  4. Personal statement — free-response prompts specific to the pathway
  5. Supporting documents — letters of recommendation, portfolios, ID
  6. Review & payment — applicant reviews their submission and pays the fee

Each step autosaves. Applicants can leave and come back via a magic-link email to finish later.

Pathways

A pathway is a named program with its own application rules. Configure per pathway:

  • Which steps are required (e.g., a certificate program may skip transcripts)
  • Which documents applicants must upload
  • The prompts on step 4
  • The application fee amount (or waive it)
  • Which reviewers see submitted applications

You can run unlimited pathways in parallel — undergraduate, graduate, certificate, bootcamp, executive education — each with its own configuration.

The review workflow

Once submitted, applications land in the Review queue. Reviewers see:

  • A summary view with key facts
  • Full access to every uploaded document
  • A scoring rubric specific to the pathway
  • Collaboration comments (other reviewers' notes)
  • Decision buttons — Admit, Waitlist, Reject, Defer

Decisions trigger templated email notifications. Admits can include a link to accept the offer and pay a deposit.

Application fees via Stripe

Fees are collected via Wigmorean Stripe. On step 6, the applicant sees a Stripe Checkout redirect. Once payment completes, the application flips from "In progress" to "Submitted" and enters the review queue.

Applications with unpaid fees stay in limbo — they don't show up for reviewers until payment is confirmed via the Stripe webhook.

Fee waivers. Mark any application "Fee waived" from the admin — this bypasses step 6 and submits directly. Useful for need-based waivers.
