Wigmorean EasyPost

Rate-shop and print shipping labels from inside WordPress using the EasyPost API. Works with any WooCommerce store or custom post type.

Get an EasyPost API key

  1. Sign up at easypost.com
  2. From the dashboard, copy your Test or Production API key
  3. In WordPress, go to Wigmorean → EasyPost → Settings
  4. Paste the key and click Validate

Your key is stored in the Credentials Vault, encrypted at rest.

Creating a shipping label

From any order or custom post type:

  1. Open the order
  2. Click Create Shipping Label in the meta box
  3. Confirm the from-address (defaults to your store address) and the to-address (pulled from the order)
  4. Enter parcel dimensions and weight
  5. Click Get Rates

Rate shopping

EasyPost returns every supported carrier with their real-time rate. You'll see USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, Canada Post, and others side-by-side — rate, delivery window, tracking included. Pick the one you want and click Buy Label.

The label is generated as a PDF and attached to the order. The tracking number is saved in the order meta and the customer gets a notification email with the tracking link.

Carrier accounts

By default, EasyPost ships your packages under their negotiated rates. If you have your own carrier account (e.g., a FedEx account with your own discount), add it via the EasyPost dashboard — it'll show up in rate shopping alongside the default carriers.

Test mode first. Always run a label through your test key before going live. Test labels look identical but aren't real — they won't post, and they're free. Great for debugging layout issues.
