Site Management

The Wigmorean Setup dashboard is where you spin up, maintain, and tear down sites. Deploy in one click; every site gets the full Suite and a sensible baseline config.

The Setup dashboard

Go to Wigmorean Cloud → Setup. The dashboard shows every site on your account — name, domain, tier, status, last backup, WordPress version, PHP version. Click any site to drill into its management panel.

Creating a site

  1. Click New Site
  2. Give it a name
  3. Pick a domain — register a new one, transfer in, or point an external one
  4. Pick a plan (Starter, Professional, Business, Enterprise) and a data center region
  5. Select a starter template, or choose "Blank WordPress"
  6. Click Deploy

Provisioning takes about 90 seconds. When it's done, you'll see the admin URL and admin credentials — email-delivered too.

One-click magic

Every site gets these pre-configured:

  • SSL certificate issued and auto-renewing
  • Full Wigmorean Suite installed (22 modules available; you pick which to activate)
  • Daily backups enabled with 30-day retention
  • Staging environment (one-click clone of production)
  • Hummingbird caching + Smush image optimization running
  • Defender security hardening applied
  • Branda white-label: WordPress admin rebranded to match your site

Maintenance mode

When you need to work on a site without visitors seeing a broken state, flip Maintenance Mode from the site's management panel. The public site returns a friendly "Back soon" page; admins can still log in and work normally.

Backups and restores

Backups run nightly. Each backup is a snapshot of files + database. From the panel:

  • Click any backup to download a zip (for offsite archival)
  • Click Restore to roll the live site back to that point
  • Click Clone to staging to use a backup as the base for a staging environment

Restores take 2–5 minutes depending on site size. Maintenance mode auto-engages during the restore.

Staging environments

Every site has a staging slot. Click Create staging to spin up a full copy of production on a staging-*.wigmorean.cloud subdomain. Test plugin updates, theme changes, content drafts. When you're happy, click Push to production and the changes ship live.

Staging gotcha. The push replaces production's database with staging's. Anything written to production's DB while staging was being edited (new orders, form submissions) will be lost unless you merge first. For busy sites, prefer incremental pushes (files only).
