Migrator (Suite Extension C)

The Suite extension version of Migrator — same one-archive site-to-site migration as the standalone, plus deep integration with the Wigmorean Cloud for one-click hosting transitions.

Same core

Export the full site as a compressed archive, import on the destination, rewrite URLs across serialized data — identical flow to the standalone Super Migrator. See those docs for the full export/import playbook.

Suite-only: Cloud transitions

The Suite module adds one-click migration into Wigmorean Cloud hosting from any source:

  1. On the source site, install the Migrator module (or the standalone plugin works too)
  2. Click Migrate to Wigmorean Cloud
  3. Authenticate with your Wigmorean account
  4. Pick the destination — new site, existing site, staging environment
  5. Click Start

The module streams the archive directly to Cloud storage (no intermediate download-then-upload), analyzes, maps URLs, and applies. Typical 1 GB site: 5–10 minutes end to end.

Bulk migrations

Agencies moving many client sites use Bulk Migration: provide a CSV of source sites + credentials, and Migrator runs them serially in the background. Progress is visible in the admin.

Incremental sync

For staging → production pushes (or vice versa), Migrator supports incremental sync: only files and DB rows that changed since the last sync are transferred. Much faster than a full archive swap, and safer for sites with live customer activity.

Multi-site (network) migrations

Suite Migrator handles WordPress Multisite networks as a single unit. Export the whole network; import on a destination network. Individual subsites can be split out into standalone installs or merged into an existing network.

Post-migration verification

After a migration, Migrator runs a verification pass:

  • Row counts match source vs destination
  • Uploaded media files exist and open
  • Active plugins match
  • Site URL and home URL are correct in options and serialized data
  • Search-and-replace didn't break any serialized structures
  • Nothing in wp-config.php points back at the old domain

Any failure fires an admin notice with specific remediation guidance.

Cannot run alongside standalone
