Checking status
Go to Tools → Wigmorean Connect → License. The tab shows:
- Tier — Studio, Suite, or Standalone (and for Standalone, which plugin)
- Company name — the name associated with the purchase
- Expiry — when the license renews or expires
- Site count — "Site 3 of 5" — how many sites are activated against the key
- Status — Active (green), Expired (red), or Grace Period (yellow)
Your sites
Click Show activated sites to see the full list — every site that's ever called home against this key. For each site you'll see: domain, WordPress version, Connect version, last check-in. From the Wigmorean Cloud account dashboard (not the per-site Connect panel), you can also deactivate a site remotely — useful if you lost access to it.
Changing your key
Two reasons you might need to change the key on a site:
- You upgraded (e.g., Standalone → Suite) and got a new key
- You're transferring ownership and the new owner has their own key
To change:
- Go to the License tab
- Click Replace key
- Paste the new key
- Click Validate
The site deactivates cleanly from the old key and activates against the new one. Products stay installed — only the license link changes.
Offline / grace period
Connect checks in with the Cloud every 24 hours to renew its cache. If the check fails (your site is offline, the Cloud is down), Connect keeps working on cached data for 14 days. Past 14 days, it enters Grace Period — visible warnings appear, but functionality continues for another 14 days.
After 28 days with no successful check-in, Connect deactivates products until it can reach the Cloud again. Your data is never touched.
Moving to a new domain
Before you migrate:
- On the old site, go to License → click Deactivate site
- Migrate (via Super Migrator or however you like)
- On the new domain, validate the same key — it slots into the freed seat
If you migrate without deactivating first, you'll have both old and new sites counting against your seat limit until the old site's 28-day grace expires. Contact support to force-release a seat.
